We are pleased to offer both full day and half day Horsemanship Clinics.  They offer the hands-on horse experience to children 5 to 13.  Whether children are riding for the first time or know how to jump a horse, they will have a great time!!  Spiritwoods Summer Riding Clinics differ from other summer camps in that all of our activities are horse related. We are handy to Cedar Park, Leander, Round Rock and Georgetown and Austin.

Hands-on experience
Our instructors open the door to the wonderful world of horses through riding lessons, lectures and demonstrations. Our emphasis is "hands on." Participants feed and care for horses and ride in a safe, caring environment. They will have the opportunity to ride English and Western style and also have fun riding bareback. We do NOT sedate our horses.   Riding is done in small groups.

Students learn through a variety of experiences. When they're not riding, students could be learning to braid a horse tail, watching a Veterinarian care for a horse's teeth, listening to a Horseshoer talk about hooves and shoeing, or watching a short video of the Olympics.
Our students come for a small group orientation lesson prior to the horsemanship clinic you have chosen. This lesson gives the kids a chance to meet the horses and start their learning experience early.
This lesson is included in the clinic fee. The orientation lessons are held on the 1st Saturday of each month. Private lessons on other days can be arranged.Spiritwood has been in business for 22 years. Our facility has a large sand arena, riding paths that lead down to a creek and large trees that offer shade.
